Mr. A.N. Radhakrishnan, M.A., D.Com., is the Managing Trustee of Meenakshi Ammal  (MA) Trust and the Honorable Chancellor of Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research. Since its inception, the Chancellor has headed all the educational activities taken up by the Trust, from setting up schools in rural areas to starting highly technical and advanced colleges, with the aim of making education accessible and affordable to all.

His humble beginnings, being born into an agricultural family in Athiyur Village in Uthiramerur, shaped his world views and strengthened his belief in the power of education. He started his career as a teacher, proceeding to work as a senior lecturer for over three decades in the State Institute of Commerce Education (SICE), under the Dept. of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu.

The first breakthrough in the Chancellor’s vision came to fruition, after he established the ‘Seven Hills Polytechnic’ at Alappakkam, Chennai, in 1984. Today his vision has expanded to encompass a value based concept of education with strong foundation in research in order to develop skilled individuals to serve the community and Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University) is a testament to that vision.
